Longmans extra sharp cheddar

What comes to mind when I think of this cheese is a sea of bland to mediocre cheeses known to most supermarket shoppers as cheddar. Unfortunately, the name cheddar is not protected and therefore is widely used and abused. The latest edition to our cheese case is an authentic farmhouse cheddar from Somerset where the original recipe for cheddar was created.
